Roof Penetration and Installation/Workmanship Warranties
Most other solar companies offer shorter term warranties in one or several areas. The Arizona Registrar of Contractors, which is the licensing body for all contractors in Arizona, only requires that solar installers provide their customers with two (2) year warranties on Roof Penetration and Installation. Most solar companies offer between two (2) and twenty (20) year warranties on Roof Penetration and Installation.
However, the solar installers we work with provide 30-Year Warranties on Roof Penetration and Installation.
Why a 30-Year Roof Penetration Warranty Is Important To You
When your system is installed, the installer drill holes in your existing roof to install the racking system, and then the solar panels are mounted on the racking system. The holes in your roof are then sealed to protect against water leakage. As we all know, water leakage can wreak havoc not only on the roof, but it can destroy your attic, attic insulation, wood framing, and everything else inside the home.
Under our Roof Penetration warranties, the solar installer is responsible for EVERYTHING that water destroys inside and outside of the home if the leakage occurs due to improper sealing. Water damage to a home can easily be tens-of-thousands of dollars! So of course you would want a 30-Year warranty instead of a 2-year warranty!

Why a 30-Year Installation/Workmanship Warranty Is Important To You
If the solar installer makes any mistakes when installing the components of your solar system, they will be liable for these mistakes for 30-Years under our warranties. For example, if the racking system and panels were mounted incorrectly, and a storm dislodges the panels from the roof, that would be covered under the Installation Warranty.
There are many other examples of problems that can occur due to improper installation. So of course you would want a 30-Year Warranty instead of a 2-year warranty!
It’s Very Important to Choose the Right Solar Company
The Manufacturer’s Warranties and Panel Performance Warranties are typically 30-Years in this industry. The solar installer you choose will service these warranties in the future. This means that when you notify your salesperson of any damage, the installer must then come to your home and replace and repair the damage free of charge to you.
We work with several installers and we choose the best one for you! If you go with the wrong installer, the warranties are useless! In the future, if the solar installer is out of business, doesn’t return your calls, moves slowly on doing warranty work, or just refuses to do the work, the warranties you purchase now mean nothing in the future!
This is why it’s so important that you allow us to choose the best solar installer for you based on our experience in the industry!
